Privacy Policy

TapLearn helps you learn words you meet while reading. This policy explains what the app sends to our servers and why. We do not sell data, show ads or use advertising trackers.

What we process

• Words and sentences you look up. When you tap a word, the word and, if you capture it, the surrounding sentence are sent to our server to produce a translation, definition and examples. Our server sends this text to OpenAI's API to generate the answer. Shared dictionary content (a word's meanings and examples) is cached so the next learner gets it instantly; your own captured sentences are not added to that shared cache.
• Pictures. Pictures are drawn from a short dictionary description of a word's meaning on our image provider (RunPod). Your sentences are never sent there.
• Audio. Word and example audio is generated on our own server. Sentence audio is spoken by your phone's text-to-speech.
• Install identity. The app creates a random install ID and a cryptographic key on your device to authenticate requests. We store a one-way hash of the network address used at registration to limit abuse.
• Your word list and review progress stay on your device.

Free tries

Before you subscribe, TapLearn lets you look up a few words or sentences for free. To count them, our server keeps the text of those free lookups (at most 5) and the words of the cards they produced, linked to your install ID. We keep this record until you ask us to delete it.

Retention

Lookup requests linked to your install are kept only as long as needed to deliver them and protect the service, except the free-try record described above, which is kept until you ask us to delete it. Shared dictionary content is kept indefinitely. Server backups are kept for 14 days.

Processors

OpenAI (text generation), RunPod (image generation), Hetzner (hosting, Germany). They process data only to provide these functions.

Your choices

You can delete the app at any time; this removes your on-device data. To ask us to delete server data tied to your install, write to business@mbworldwideapps.com and tell us roughly when you installed the app.

Children

TapLearn is not directed at children under 13.

TapLearn, okurken karşılaştığın kelimeleri öğrenmene yardım eder. Dokunduğun kelime ve yakaladığın cümle; çeviri, tanım ve örnek üretmek için sunucumuza, oradan OpenAI API'sine gönderilir. Resimler, kelimenin sözlük anlamından kısa bir tarifle RunPod'da çizilir; cümlelerin oraya gönderilmez. Kelime ve örnek sesleri kendi sunucumuzda üretilir; cümle sesini telefonun okur. Kelime listen ve tekrar ilerlemen cihazında kalır.

Ücretsiz denemeler. Abone olmadan önce birkaç kelime ya da cümleye ücretsiz bakabilirsin. Bunları saymak için sunucumuz bu ücretsiz aramaların metnini (en fazla 5) ve oluşan kartların kelimelerini kurulum kimliğine bağlı olarak saklar; bu kayıt, silinmesini isteyene kadar tutulur.
